Description

"Push-ups", también conocidos como "press-ups" o "plank-ups", are a strength training exercise performed using body weight. To do push-ups, one begins in a plank position with the hands placed shoulder-width apart and feet together behind the body. From this position, the body is lowered by bending the elbows and keeping the body rigid, and then pushed back up to the starting position.

Push-ups primarily work the muscles of the chest, shoulders, and triceps, but also involve the core, legs, and lower back muscles to maintain stability and proper body alignment. Push-ups can be performed with different variations such as hands closer together or further apart, with elevated feet, or with one hand or foot on the ground to increase or decrease the exercise's difficulty. Push-ups are a popular and effective exercise to strengthen the upper body and improve physical endurance.
